The Business Case for the Tribe’s development of the Heritage Complex will include cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis, and review of marketing and strategies; discussion of roles, responsibilities, and proposed governance; and recommendations for next steps. This critical document articulates and justifies any major capital expense in a tourism development program. The session shared insights into how to prepare a business case for capital development that is honest, defendable, and understandable by all members of the community.

Akwesasne Business Case Session Presentation
Gail is Akwesasne Heritage Complex Project Developer with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, in New York state. Gail is a lifelong resident of Akwesasne and brings many years of senior management experience. She has undertaken major projects in health and social development, policy, data governance, research, program and facility development.
Anne is CEO and Services Director of the 106 Group, a consulting company that specializes in cultural heritage planning. For more than two decades, Anne has worked for and built strong relationships with American Indian leaders and elders to ensure respect for each community’s heritage within the planning process.
