Sr. Archaeologist & Osteologist

Kate is an accomplished archaeologist with a special expertise in bioarchaeology and over a decade of international field experience. Her ability to analyze human and animal remains in archaeological contexts has been invaluable to cultural resource investigations throughout the country. Kate has contributed to and supervised multi-phase surveys, emergency burial recoveries, and construction monitoring for reconstruction, mining, and solar projects and has coordinated lab efforts to process thousands of artifacts. She has also worked with tribal governments and consulted on tribal engagement throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Kate’s expertise is nationally recognized and she has been named one of the joint Foreign Policy – U.S. State Department’s 100 Leading Global Thinkers.
