Tonya Shoemaker

Architectural Historian

Tonya has a passion for protecting places of cultural significance through historical and environmental preservation. As a junior historian, she supports senior-level history staff with field research, architectural history surveys, reports, evaluations, and historic context development. With an educational background in NEPA and Section 106 processes, Tonya has a clear understanding of the complexity involved in the processes and facilitates related project needs. She also possesses knowledge of architectural styles, features and structural materials, furthering her ability to assess historic structures, bridges, and historical districts. Tonya also has experience in project management and technical production.
