Tisha Allen Joins 106 Group

We’re excited to share news that Tisha Allen, has joined 106 Group as a Senior Cultural Heritage Planner. In her new role within our Planning Team, Tisha will lead a range of projects for public and private clients.

Tisha is a planner with a masters in historic preservation and a background in architecture. She has spent much of her career focused on place-based and comprehensive planning initiatives. For the past six years, Tisha has worked to design and implement technical assistance opportunities and grant programs in support of community development practitioners across the country and their comprehensive community development efforts. Prior to her work in community development, she was a community outreach and grants manager for a non-profit organization, where she helped to establish and manage a new competitive-grants program and foster productive relationships with residents and other stakeholders around bringing historic properties back to productive use. Tisha is no stranger to managing federal and local project types ranging from historic tax credits to historic structures reports.

Tisha’s years of professional experience and academic training has equipped her with an extensive toolkit for forging productive relationships with community stakeholders, as well as managing and implementing a broad range of preservation strategies. These experiences have provided her with skill sets in project management, research and documentation, design review, and community engagement. In her free time, Tisha enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, antique shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.
