VA National Cemeteries

BACKGROUND:

Cultural resources studies and Section 106 compliance are required as part of any veterans’ cemetery redevelopment because an Act of Congress designates them historic. Our IDIQ contracts with the US Department of Veterans Affairs has led to numerous Section 106 and 110 compliance projects in Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, and Minnesota.

SCOPE:
Working on behalf of the VA, we provide a range of services to support redevelopment of current or creation of new national cemeteries. Our work has included archaeological monitoring and survey; historic structure survey, effects analysis, and mitigation documentation; and Native American consultation assistance.

OUTCOME:
We complete our work for national cemeteries across the country thoroughly and efficiently to comply with applicable federal laws and improve the final resting places of our nation’s soldiers.
